My thoughts on May Day by Josie Jaffrey

This is my first book by Josie Jaffrey and I am loving the storyline.

Here are my early thoughts, although I may revisit this review to add to it after I have processed my feelings and have read more from this author. I can’t wait to read more stories set in this realm.

The world is well-crafted and the characters completely believable. I enjoyed that the vampire world is not your typical evil, blood-sucking atrocity. The sass, sarcasm, and humor are a plus for me.
Love triangles are common, but Jaffrey portrays the sapphic aspect well without sensationalism.
The detective aspects of the story are well done and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. It’s definitely a page-turner.

I can tell you with confidence that if vampires, suspense, and urban fantasy thrillers, are your genres of choice, then you must give this book a try.
