The October 14-2018 newsletter is coming to you from the annual Parke County Covered Bridge Festival today. It’s great to be set up with Cheryl & Mike once again. Here are a couple of pictures of our areas.
It’s been a great festival so far even though it has turned off colder.
Keep an eye on the blog if you are interested in new pictures & info from the festival.
Several past newsletters are on the blog.
Let’s get right into the newsletter goodies.

What to Read
October 14-2018 Newsletter Reading suggestions
Since I was heavy into festival prep, I was a little behind on my actual reading this week. I only finished 2twobooks. One was an ARC that will be released soon. So I am offering you a few suggestions of recent discoveries that are on my To-Be-Read soon list.
- Kilty as Charged by Amy Vansant
- The Marriage Pledge by Jean Oram
- Any of the 12 Days of Heartwarming Christmas books: I have read two so far. These are perfect if you are a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies. It’s nearly time for Christmas reading. This book series is a great place to start your holiday To-Be-Read list.
What to Eat
October 14-2018 Newsletter Recipe suggestions
- Pizza Tortillas – This is from the website of In Diane’s Kitchen. She has great recipes. This one would be fun to make with the kids.
- Belgian Meatballs is from Boost-Food. English is not her first language, but she has some good recipes. Food knows no boundaries, right?
- Pumpkin Dump Cake by Spending with Pennies is on my list to try. Only three ingredients and you can top it with whipped cream or cream cheese frosting.
What to Make
October 14-2018 Newsletter craft suggestions
- Piano Scarf by Dust Bunnies Under my Loom is an intriguing Rigid Heddle loom project. I have a piano player in the family. I bet she would love one of these.
- Annie’s Christmas Special is a useful magazine with projects for knitting, crochet, quilting, and sewing. It has over 70 make it yourself Holiday projects.
That’s it for this week. Remember if you want all the links, images & more, visit the website!
