The 7 April 2023 Friday Finds are here! Meet my new Author of the Week, Books to Read, Recipes to Try, and a little something Crafty.
Hello, my friends & welcome to the 7 April 2023 Fun!
It’s been a wild week here in the Midwest, USA. Severe storms, devasting tornados, and atrocious winds have hit the area. Please say a prayer in whatever form works for you for all the folks who have lost family, friends, homes, and livelihoods. Donations are needed all over the US if you are in a position to do so.
Luckily, here on the farm, we only lost a few shingles from the roofs, so we have no damage to repair. We are counting our blessings. I’m also thankful for the county emergency management system. They text an alert telling you when to take cover. Fortunately, we only had to get up once in the night to seek shelter from a tornado. It veered north of us.
Let’s get into the happy stuff now. Take a look at this week’s finds, and be sure to let me know if you try any of them.
Don’t forget to look for the question of the week at the bottom of this post. The March winner will be announced next week. Be sure you check back in to see if it’s you.
All comments and clicks are greatly appreciated.
Peace & Love
Note: I will share purchase links on all recommended items if possible. Every purchase made through my links helps support this blog.

As you get older and take on more responsibilities, you have probably wondered how to do many of the adult tasks your parents or older siblings seem to breeze through daily. Glad you are safe from the storms!
I love the flower theme for April! The tall ones remind me of one of my past patients at a nursing home. She loved going for walks outside and she would always pick the flowers she told me she called Queen Anne’s Lace.
Thanks so much for linking up at the #UnlimitedLinkParty 107.
Never tried Pineapple Fluff. Hmm. Sounds interesting. Happy Easter!!
The grandkids are huge fans of Oreo fluff but they won’t do pineapple anything right now! I love pineapple 🍍
Hi Gina!
Happy Good Friday and congratulations on the latest addition to the family 🎊. I rejoice with you.
The Easy chicken puffs and pineapple pretzel fluff look tasty. Would try them out. Thanks for sharing.
Chika
Thanks for stopping by today, Chika. Happy Easter! 😊
Happy Easter Weekend, Gina. I really enjoyed that post on Patricia’s site, thanks for sharing that. I have also pinned the recipe for the Chicken Puffs, they sound delicious. I like the pretty floral motif. I really should change mine throughout the year, but I always worry I will mess up my blog if I muck with it.
As well, I am glad that you are safe and the tornado went north of you. I am definitely praying for those all around who have suffered from the extreme weather we have been having.
I’m thankful you were spared severe tornado damage. 🙏
Me too, Carol! There was a couple on the news near us that dug their way out of basement to find their family farm of 32 years… just gone…everything! Devastating
Tragic 😢
Dear Gina, thank you so much for this honor. I am touched and grateful that you chose me as Author of the Week and that you enjoyed my Easter blog post.
I loved revisiting your thoughtful review of Silent Heroes.
Tha floral pattern is perfect for Spring! So fresh and light.
