My thoughts:

The Die Of Death, book two in the Great Devil War series is a captivating story. Philip Engel is called back to hell to help recover Death’s stolen die.

Where book one set up the underworld and its many inhabitants, book two gives us more of a plot-driven story. Philip meets back up with Satina, his partner in solving mysteries. While Mortimer (aka Death) has a much bigger role, Satan plays a relatively minor role.

The author throws in several minor stories and mysteries, which are nearly all solved in this book. However, there are enough hints dropped that you know the next book in the series will captivate us as well.

Dreams are a driving force behind The Die of Death. So much so, that I actually wondered if the entire story is just a dream. I put aside my doubts and enjoyed the story as it was written, for pleasure and entertainment. It certainly does entertain as it’s a fast-paced page-turner.
