My thoughts on The Jolly Bupbup by Ann P Borrmann:

The Jolly Bupbup opens with a delightful poem about finding Twinkles in the wood field. This poem sets the stage for the story of the jolly little Bubbup that also lives in the wood field. She has many adventures with her two cats, but only on dry days. On rainy days, she ventures out to splash in puddles and play with the ducks and fish. We follow her adventure as things go awry one rainy day, and she has to perform a rescue to regain her jolliness.

Young children will love this story of splashing in puddles and wading thru rainwater. It teaches lessons of perseverance and helping yourself overcome disappointment while entertaining children and adults. We all need a reminder to find the good in every day we are granted.

I recommend this story to parents, grandparents, caregivers, and anyone reading to young children.

This one has such a cute cover. And which kid doesn’t love to splash in puddles!

    • You are most welcome Ann. It’s a lovely book. I can’t wait to read it to the grandkids this weekend.
