My thoughts on Chester the Almost Pirate

Chester The (almost) Pirate by

Chester the Almost Pirate brings smiles to the faces of readers of all ages.

Chester longs to be a pirate and finally gets his chance at Captain Grey-Fogg’s pirate school. Along with his first-mate Roger the Octopus, Chester tries his best to accomplish the tasks needed to earn his eye patch. After a series of hilarious mishaps and misadventures, graduation day arrives. Will Chester and Roger be disappointed or delighted?

Whether it’s simply learning the days of the week or more complicated concepts such as working toward goals, persistence or dealing with disappointment, the author makes them all fun.

Illustrator Tracee Guzman uses a vibrant crayon style to help bring the story to life.

Be prepared for lots of giggles while reading this pirate tale. The book is perfect for families, libraries, and daycares.

I received a digital copy of the book from the author or publisher. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.
