Gina's Friday Finds Halloween banner October 20-2023

Hello, my friends & welcome to the October 20-2023 Fun!

(Although today is actually October 21st!! I couldn’t quite get it finished yesterday.)

I’m slowly getting back to regular blogging. I have one more week of healing before I start the next phase with 3-5  light treatments to fine-tune and lock in my vision. I will admit the whole process has been difficult in ways I didn’t imagine.

Avoiding any sunlight has been the hardest aspect. I have to wear blackout shades all day, and I have some clearer ones for evening use. I sure didn’t realize how much the lack of sunlight would affect my mood.

The surgeries themselves went great, and I haven’t had any issues so far. I can already see better than I could before I developed that strange, watery vision. So, I am a happy reader!

Since these posts have been a little sporadic lately, I’m going with my Halloween theme today.

I hope you enjoy this week’s finds, and be sure you leave a comment below voting for your favorite find of the week.

Peace & Love

Friday Finds | October 20-2023 | Author News

Do you have a new book releasing soon, a special promotion coming up, or any other news of your author’s life I can share with my readers?

I’ve been a little out of touch with my authors. Let’s remedy that. Send me all the NEWS! I’ll be happy to share it with my readers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mark J. Engels shares that book three of his Forest Exiles Saga, Werecats Resurgent, is nearly ready for publication. I missed the big cover reveal while I was out of commission, but here is your peek at the dynamic cover.
The book has a planned release of December 5, 2023. You can read the first chapter of the bookor download the whole thing when you sign up to be an advanced readerin either .epub or .pdf format from his new BookSirens page. (An honest review on Amazon come launch day would be enormously helpful and greatly appreciated.) And be looking for another note in the coming weeks announcing the ebook’s availability on Amazon for the special pre-launch price of just 99¢ US.
The first two books in the series are available now on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited, so this fall is a great time to catch up on the series.
Temporary tattoo pumpkins image October 20-2023
Temporary-Tattooed Pumpkins
This faux-ink pumpkin design takes minutes to make. To create your own, pick up a few autumn-themed temporary tattoos or whatever the kids like (we’re on board for superhero pumpkins) and apply them to your faux pumpkin with a damp sponge, just like you would skin. Kids love this quick project because the result is a gorgeous customized tattoo pumpkin that will last for years. We like it because it’s an easy Halloween craft, but it looks hand-painted.
I like these for Halloween and Fall.
  1. Prayers for continued improvement and healing with your eyes!
    Thank you so much for including my Halloween book! I greatly appreciate it!
    Have a great weekend!
  2. I’m happy to hear a good report on your eyes! Gives me encouragement in my early days of recovery from detached retina surgery! I’m very impatient! I can type a few comments but it will be a while before I can write a post. Hopefully 2024 will bring restored eye health for both of us!
    By the way I still can’t make comments through WP reader. I’m opening your post in a browser and responding that way.
    • I was just wondering how you were doing, Carol. I hear you on the impatience, everything takes me longer than I think it should.
      I have no idea what’s going on with WP reader. I’ll have to do a deeper dive soon…
