Excerpt from Family Fun at the Lake
Grandpa pulls the wagon.
I clap my hands with joy.
The road is a little bumpy.
Grandma swings on the porch.
I feel the wind in my hair.
The air is so fresh.

My thoughts on
Family Fun at the Lake
Do you have an early reader in your house? If so, Family Fun at the Lake is perfect for you.
Katelyn Prendergast tells the tale of a young child’s excitement at going to their cabin on the lake.
They meet the rest of the extended family there, so there are grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, and many cousins to play with.
Several activities are explored, like roasting hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire, and going out in the boat.
Safety tips are interspersed within the story, allowing you to discuss these topics with your little ones.
The font is perfect for early readers, and the illustrations greatly enhance the story.
I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

Great review
Thanks, Edgar!
The book sounds very interesting. My grandchildren would love it.

Thanks, Gina, for sharing your thoughts!
Have a marvelous weekend!
This would be a great book for my son to read!
I always encouraged my grand children to read – and so far I have been successful! They love reading and I have one last 5 year old that needs help – the other 5 are girls – easy peazy – but this last one is a boy who drools over watching the oil being changed in the car or can crawl under the car to “help” drain it out! So I need help with him wanting to do things like read and write! Thanks for sharing!
When you were a child, who were some of your favorite authors?
Thanks for hosting!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Family Fun at the Lake, this book will make a lovely gift for any of my young grandchildren
