Little Tractor drove down the hill with Daddy, but he slipped in the mud. Now Little Tractor is scared and doesn’t want to leave the barn when it rains.

But then Lili says there’s an emergency . . .

A familiar book in which Little Tractor overcomes his fear to help his friends. For brave readers ages 4 years and up.

My thoughts on Little Tractor is Brave

Little Tractor is Brave is a beautifully illustrated children’s picture book.

The story teaches children about overcoming fear and finding the courage to do what’s necessary.

The book features a unique set of characters including Little and Daddy Tractor, Lili the trailer, and various farm animals.

I think it’s important to show children that everyone has fears. Sometimes those fears can protect you from doing reckless or dangerous things. But many times fear causes us unnecessary anxiety.

It’s always best for a child to talk to an adult about learning the different types of fear.

The story is suitable for early readers or for family storytime. I recommend this book to anyone responsible for children; parents, grandparents, libraries, and schools. It’s perfect for launching age-appropriate conversations.

About Natalie Quintart

Natalie Quintart Author Profile image

Natalie Quintart was born on January 6, 1961, in Beloeil (Belgium). She followed acting classes in Louvain-la-Neuve and Paris. She now lives in Brussels and has three children.

Besides novels and screenplays, Natalie Quintart writes books, stories, songs, stage plays, and scripts for children. A whole range of styles, that is! To her ‘writing is sharing little pieces of humanity, tenderness, emotion and humor with children’. Her books have been translated in Chinese, Danish, German, American English, Korean, Dutch … She loves meeting her young readers because she likes to know how children respond to her stories.

Schools and libraries frequently invite her to talk about her books and the making-of. As an actress, she also makes short films and shows her work. Schools, libraries, and book fairs in Belgium and France love to see her coming. Her partner in crime in these shows? Her accordion. She emphasizes the great demand for this kind of approach. By presenting a book in a playful way, it becomes more accessible for children.

She also adapted several books in stage plays for children.
